If The Shoe Fits...A Guide to The Perfect Disney Shoe...
Princess Week is so much more about just celebrating our favorite Princesses but more about being inspired by them. In today's post I'm continuing my celebrations of #worldprincessweek to talk about the most important thing you need to pack while at any Disney Resort Vacation: SHOES!
Now you may want to look extra cute in all your Disney Photos and pack the latest fashionable glass slipper, but I promise you to think of comfortability and durability. Your feet will thank me later for this. After all even Cinderella lost her slipper at the ball.
This is my ultimate guide to the perfect Disney Shoe for your next Disney Vacation!
You're probably thinking: Why would my Travel Agent be so concerned with what I pack? The truth is, I just want to ensure you have the best time while you're home away from home. I've seen what it's like when you don't pack the right things, I'VE LIVED IT and I've learned so you don't have to make my mistakes.
For Men's Shoes Here are my recommendations:
New Balance 608 V5 Casual Comfort Cross Trainer
While these are the definition of the "DAD Shoe", but they are super comfortable. These shoes work from running basic errands to simply getting a quick workout in. The durability is perfect for all the wear and tear that goes into walking around the parks.
Nike React Phantom Run Flyknit 2
Maybe you want something with more breathability to your step. No one likes to feel like their feet are suffocating in a shoe. The best part is they are laceless which means you can slide them right off after a long day walking around Epcot!
Hoka Carbon X3
These shoes are designed for running in mind, so if you're rushing to get from one lightning lane to the next these are ideal. Did I mention the breathability and comfort? They are also made from recycled material so they are good for Mother Nature! Who doesn't love painting the colors of the wind with these?
Skechers GO RUN Glide-Step Flex
My brothers swear by Sketchers, these beauties have ULTRA GO® cushioning, breathable Skechers Air-Cooled Goga Mat™ insole. Making these perfect for the park and easy on your feet.
For Women's Shoes Here are my recommendations:
NB Nergize Sport
I am all about sliding a shoe on and off, the less I have to do with ties the better. Not only do these feel like walking on a cloud but they are super breathable. The best pair I've ever owned. They are perfect for on-the-go running errands to a full day at the parks.
TEVAS-Hurricane XLT2
If you're looking for a sturdy sandal that will help cool off your feet in between park days, I highly recommend these bad boys. I have them and SWEAR by them! Literally my favorite go-to sandal for everything. Especially when it rains, very durable. Fair warning, during the summer months they will leave you with a gnarly tan line lol.
CROCS
I've had many clients recommend crocs for their feet during the summer months. Apparently, its breathability and cushion really support an all-day excursion at the parks. Not to mention they suit the weather in both Disneyland and Disney World.
Air Zoom Pegasus 36
Nike has always come out with amazing running shoes, but have you ever tried these? This ultra-breathable makes the shoe wearer feel like they are walking on a marshmallow! Just the thought of this makes me want a s'more really badly from the Ganchery.
Overall you'll decide what works best for you and if the shoe fits, don't forget to pack it! One of my siblings didn't pack their sneakers and let's just say their feet were screaming the entire trip. Nobody likes a blister at the end of their park vacation. One of the biggest things you need to do as well is WEAR THEM BEFORE YOU GO TO THE PARKS! Break in your brand new shoes if you're shopping for a new pair. Do not just wear them to the parks when they are fresh out of the box. Breaking them in will help not only make your feet happy but also allow you to enjoy the day without being upset that your feet hurt or worse are covered in blisters.
