Hey Friends!
Today, I am sharing some absolute must-dos for your next Disneyland trip! If you're heading to California and trying to plan out your day, here are some absolute must-dos to add to your list! Don't forget the perks of staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel.
1. Horse-drawn Street Car:
Travel back in time on a nostalgic ride down Main Street, U.S.A. in a charming turn-of-the-century vehicle. There are other fabulous vehicles that you can catch to head over to the castle!
- Jitney, an early automobile without a roof
- Fire Engine, a replica of the very first fire trucks
- Omnibus, a gas-powered, open-air 2-story bus
There are 2 stops in Disneyland park:
- Town Square near City Hall
Central Plaza in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle
Perfect fun for all ages.
Each trip is one-way.

The cute horse was named Maximus he had his own cast member tag and everything!
2. Rides
Here are my top 5 favorite rides at Disneyland that I highly recommend no family miss out on!
- Mr. Toad's Wild Ride: This ride is a classic! If you didn't zig-zag in a motorcar with J. Thaddeus Toad, Esq on your way to Hell did you even go to Disneyland?

- Indiana Jones™ Adventure: Enter this cursed temple at your own risk; as Indy guides you through this fast-paced thrill ride! This ride is super fun for Disney fans of all ages!
- It's a Small World: I'm a Sunshine State kinda girl familiar with mainly Disney World, but when I visit Disneyland's small world, I find that version all the more magical! It's a small ride but with a big impact, enjoy It's a Small World!

- Radiator Spring Racers: Start your engines! Zoom through the desert landscape of Cars Land! Join Lightning McQueen and his friends as he guides you to become the best RACER! This ride starts off so adorable then becomes a little bit of a thrill towards the end of your journey through the hills of Radiator Springs! While there's no wrong time to ride a Disneyland ride, Radiator Spring Racers in the evening is a must-do!
- Incredicoaster: Join the Incredibles in a mad dash to catch Jack-Jack as he wreaks havoc throughout this high-speed chase! Baby Jack-Jack’s superpowers are causing chaos as he teleports from tunnel to tunnel, the family joins together to save the day! This ride is especially more gorgeous at night!
3. Snacks and Food:
- Churro: Everyone should definitely experience a churro at Disneyland, it is hands down the best snack I've enjoyed at the park! Not to mention they have so many churro stands with some awesome flavor options!
one of the many churro options this one was from Señor Buzz Churros at Pixar Pier
- Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums: If you're a cookie fanatic like I am, you know that Jack Jack is a little man that knows a good cookie when he sees one! There are many options and flavors for everyone including Gluten Free options! This stand is located at Disney's Pixar Pier.
- Anything at The Lamplight Lounge: Enjoy the distant screams of the Incredicoaster while you bask in the glorious view of the Pixar Pal-A-Round. This foodie favorite restaurant is a not to be missed experience when visiting Disney's California Adventure. If you time it right, you may be in for a treat (ask me how I can help you book your dining)
4. Experiences:
- World of Color: While Fantasmic! is such a wonderful end-of-the-night show, personally I skipped this during my Disneyland adventure. Don't hate me but I highly recommend World of Color as a must-experience when visiting Disney's California Adventure. If you're interested in booking your next Disneyland trip, let's talk about adding the World of Color Dessert Package to your magical vacation!
- Avengers Campus: This land is entirely new to Disney's California Adventure and it was so much fun to experience and enjoy. Honestly, everything about the land is sensory overload. There are so many little things that bring you back to The Marvel Cinematic Universe. There are also some fabulously unique options for a quick bite. There are also many character interaction opportunities if timed correctly! I touch more on this in my previous blog about traveling with kids.
- Animation Academy: Beat the heat with a quick walk through Animation Academy. You can experience artists hand-drawing characters and also have a chance to draw your very own Disney portrait. There's also a fabulous gift shop that lets you ship home a piece of Disney Art Work.
While there are so many things to do, eat, see and experience at a Disneyland park, these are just my hot tips on making your experience all the more magical for your family! Let me know if you have any comments below!
