Itineraries during summer and winter holidays, including cruises during spring break, tend to be the most popular with my clients. I recommend you book peak season itineraries at least one year in advance for the best price and stateroom availability.
If your schedule is flexible, off-peak times―such as during the fall months―offer greater options and best-value pricing. No matter when you sail, making your reservation further in advance will give you the best rates for that sailing. While you'll want to keep in mind the school year as a good option to book your cruise during that time for the best rates. There are also always promos going on for those wanting to book a Disney Cruise!
Throughout the year, Disney offerings themed excursions like Marvel Day at Sea or Pixar Day at Sea! These themed days allow guests to sport their best Disney Bound-themed outfits and enjoy themed activities and special characters from some of their favorite Marvel Movies, Pixar Cartoons and so much more. You can even dress like a pirate and drink up me hearties yo ho on certain sailings they have Pirate-Themed Nights. The guests really go all out in their best pirate attire and enjoy their best pirate life!

There are also limited sailings in Northern Europe and San Diego.
When it comes to the weather, the best time to go on a Disney cruise depends on where you are heading. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect at each port of call.
The weather is generally very pleasant in the Bahamas no matter when you visit. For this reason, Disney offers at least one cruise to the Bahamas at any given time throughout the year.
Generally, December through May is ideal months to sail to the Bahamas and the Caribbean.
Avoid the Bahamas and the Caribbean in July and August if you do not like hot and humid weather. Sure, it’s not oppressively hot, you can easily find air-conditioning aboard the ship, and the pool is always a great option. However, you may not be able to enjoy your port adventures as much if it’s in the 80s or 90s during the day.
For reference, Castaway Cay (in the Bahamas) has an average temperate of around 69 in January, 74 in April, 84 in July, and 74 in November, so it’s pretty nice all year long.
There is also hurricane season, which officially runs from June 1 through November 30. It is historically most active between August and September, so it may be a good idea to consider travel insurance if you plan on cruising to the Bahamas or the Caribbean during this time.
Winter or Spring is the best time to sail to the Bahamas or the Caribbean.
Disney Cruise Line offers Alaska cruises from May to September. As this timeframe emphasizes, Alaska’s cruise season is relatively short, and cruises to Alaska are not available in the winter.
Alaskan temperatures usually range from mid-thirties to low forties Fahrenheit in May and September, but highs can reach the upper fifties. The weather has an average temperature in the low-60s during June, July, and August.
Alaska’s native wildlife is most visible during the summer months of June, July, and August. September is the best time to try to see the Northern Lights, though Disney cruises stay far enough south that such sightings are quite rare.
Summer is the best time to go on a Disney Alaskan cruise.
Most Disney cruises in Europe take place between May and September. For most areas in this region, this is the warmest and driest time of year and, indeed, the most pleasant time to cruise.
Summer is the best time to go on a Disney European cruise.
Disney cruises to Mexico every Spring and Fall each year. These are reliably warm months in the Mexican Riviera and Baja, Mexico. That said, the weather is typically more comfortable in March and April than in September and October.
Spring is the best time to sail to Mexico.
